Kongorong Camp

Well the Kongorong camp has been and gone. This event is held every year at Kongorong (naturally) which is outside of Mt. Gambier. We train for 3 days in this remote place. There is virtually nothing around. Which makes it a more inclusive event as there are few distractions. As usual Shihan Phil was fired up and put everyone through their paces.

We went through the differences of JKF and Seishikan Kata's. Bunkai's (explanation) and finally a high grade grading. The lowest grade was a couple of Brown Belts going for their Black Belt through to 5 4th Dans going for their 5th Dan.

It was a fun weekend but tiring, a good chance for people from all over Australia to catch up and renew friendships. We have people coming as far away as Sydney and Karratha, which is an impressive feat in itself.

All in all a great weekend. And once the grading results from the weekend are finalised I will put them up here.

Check out the pictures of the camp on the Photo Gallery Page.
